
Kaumudee is a Lead Vocal and Chorus singer for Jigary. She has learned Hindustani classical vocal from Shri Narendra Datar for several years and won first prize in a regional singing competition. Her musical interests lie in singing Marathi songs, ghazals, semi-classical songs, bhajans and anything by Asha Bhosle. She is now pursuing her vocal training with Smt. Sujata Ghanekar, a student of Begum Parveen Sultana.
She got her BA from UC Berkeley and currently works for Google. She loves to sing, do various types of dance, do weight-lifting, research geeky things on the Internet, do funny accents, make PJs, write/post songs on her blog (http://www.kaumudee.com).
